Tahoe Freeride is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. There are several exciting opportunities with Tahoe Freeride|TJFS.* Available positions for the 2020 season are listed below. Mountain venue Staff
Competition Staff- 2 positions availableThis position works closely with the TD and Executive Director to set up, maintain, and tear down the competition venue, boundaries, finish area, judges’ tent and announcer’s tent. Venue Staff will be assigned various jobs during the event which include venue entrance monitor, ski retrieval during competition, announcing, awards set up and tear down, scorecard running, PA set up and tear down, production kit management and maintenance. We are looking for a core crew of 2 to work the entire season. Individuals who are interested in this position for the entire season or part of the season may apply.
Skills
Advanced skier/snowboarder who is comfortable in steep and rugged off piste terrain.
Able to move equipment on skis/snowboard
Willing to work in all weather conditions
Hours and Compensation Daily rate Competition Staff will begin work one day prior to the start of an event and through the final day of competition. The full position covers up to 30 days of event work. Please see the Tahoe Freeride|TJFS 2020 Event Schedule
Announcer-1 position available The announcer is the key point of communication to the spectators. The announcer will narrate each competitors run with professional commentary humor, and intrigue. The announcer will assist the Competition Staff in set up, maintenance, and tear down of the announcer’s area and finish corral. Skills
Able to move equipment on skis/snowboard
Willing to work in all weather conditions
Able to Ski/Snowboard to and from the venue.
Knowledge of PA systems
Experience as an MC or event announcer preferred.
